Jets' Top Hypothetical Trades to Make Splash in 2024 NFL Draft
The New York Jets come into the 2024 NFL draft with a ton of pressure to get their pick right at No. 10.
New York mortgaged its draft capital in recent years. Four of the Jets' draft picks belong to other teams in the 2024 draft.
Green Bay owns the Jets' second-rounder, Denver gained a fifth-rounder from the Jets and Baltimore is in possession of two late-round selections.
The Jets' lack of a second-round pick puts a ton of pressure on the front office to make the right call at No. 10.
The right decision in that situation may be to trade back a few spots to collect draft capital from quarterback hungry teams.
Denver, Minnesota and Las Vegas could get into a bidding war for the No. 10 pick to land a quarterback over the other two teams if they can't move up higher into the top 10.
Trade Back from No. 10 with Las Vegas

The Las Vegas Raiders are the ideal trade partner for the Jets to drop back from No. 10.
Las Vegas is the only team between itself, Denver and Minnesota with a second-round pick.
A three-pick jump to land a quarterback would come with a larger price tag, one the Jets can benefit from to add draft capital.
Of course, the Jets could sit at No. 10, take an offensive tackle or wide receiver, and let Minnesota dictate the quarterback race at No. 11.
This scenario assumes Minnesota, Denver and Las Vegas all can't get into the top 10 to land a quarterback because the price is too steep.
Minnesota could use its two first-round picks to land a top-10 quarterback, but that is not guaranteed yet.
Las Vegas could package a handful of picks to potentially land the fourth quarterback on the draft board and the Jets would feel a bit more comfortable with the amount of picks they have in 2024.
Proposed Trade: Las Vegas sends Nos. 13, 44 and 148 picks to Jets for No. 10 pick
Trade Down One Spot with Minnesota

Minnesota could be active on the trade market, even if the fourth quarterbacks drops to No. 10.
The Vikings could use their collection of draft picks to move up one spot to ensure no one else takes a quarterback before them at No. 11.
J.J. McCarthy could be the primary target of a Vikings trade if Caleb Williams, Drake Maye and Jayden Daniels are the top three selections.
Minnesota needs a quarterback and its acquisition of the No. 23 overall pick suggests it is loading up for a deal involving both of its first-round picks.
The Jets could do a straight two-for-one swap if the Vikings are that desperate to land a quarterback and want to prevent Denver or Las Vegas from jumping them.
New York probably would not get anything else in return because of the value the two first-round picks have, but that could be a terrific return for a team that needs to add top-tier talent.
Proposed Trade: Minnesota sends Nos. 11 and 23 picks to Jets for No. 10 pick.
Jets Jump Bears, Get to No. 8 Pick

The Jets will have a close eye on the wide receiver market as the top 10 picks unfold.
New York has an opportunity to land one of the premier pass-catchers in the draft to the Aaron Rodgers-led offense.
However, a handful of teams in front of them, like the Chicago Bears at No. 9, need a pass-catcher as well.
The Atlanta Falcons have an abundance of offensive weapons and could be the right team to negotiate with.
Atlanta could wait until No. 10 to select a player because it does not have the same needs as the Jets and Bears.
The Jets would have to pay a decent prize to move up two spots in the top 10. The cost could keep them at No. 10, but a deal involving two or three picks is worth exploring if they can add Rome Odunze, Malik Nabers or one of the other premier wide outs.
Proposed Trade: Jets trade Nos. 10 and 71 picks to Atlanta for No. 8 pick
