Eagles' Saquon Barkley Says Video of Daughter Wasn't Intended to Disrespect Giants
Saquon Barkley's decision to leave the New York Giants for the Philadelphia Eagles has certainly led to a lot of discussion and debate, particularly from the Big Blue side.
In a video posted by the Eagles on March 20, Barkley said his daughter, Jada, upon learning he was going to sign with Philadelphia, asked her father, "Does that mean we're gonna win now?"

On the latest episode of the New Heights, presented by Wave Sports + Entertainment, Barkley explained that the moment involving his daughter was more about him because of "the pain it caused him" when the Giants would lose to the Eagles and how he reacted to those games than a shot at his former team.
Barkley previously addressed the situation on X when he wrote people would "just reach for anything" to complain about.
This whole situation came after Barkley got into it with Giants legend Tiki Barber, who said he was "dead to us" when the two-time Pro Bowler agreed to a three-year, $37.5 million deal with the divisional rival Eagles.
It doesn't take much for fans to assume someone is being disrespectful to their team. This certainly isn't an excuse for fans to think they have the right to verbally go after a player or their family for an innocuous comment.
Barkley is right about the Eagles being a nemesis to him throughout his career. The 27-year-old went 2-8 in 10 games (including the playoffs) against Philadelphia in six seasons with the Giants.
It's actually not Barkley's worst record against an NFC East opponent. He has lost all 10 games he's played against the Dallas Cowboys.
Now, Barkley will get a chance to experience the Eagles-Giants rivalry from the opposite sideline for the first time in the 2024 season.
