Steelers' Russell Wilson, Wife Ciara Sell Mansion at $3.5M Loss After Broncos Exit
Even though Russell Wilson is still making a lot of money from the Denver Broncos after his release from the team, the nine-time Pro Bowler did take a loss on the recent sale of his mansion in the city.
Per Lauren Pennington of the Denver Post, citing Arapahoe County public records, Wilson and his wife, Ciara, recently sold their Cherry Hills Village mansion for $21.5 million.
While that is a large sum of money, the couple originally paid $25 million for the property when they purchased it in April 2022 after he was acquired by the Broncos in a trade with the Seattle Seahawks.

Pennington noted the $25 million price tag remains the most expensive price ever paid for a residential property in the Denver metro area.
According to public records from the Colorado Secretary of State's office, the property was purchased by Cherry Park LLC and will be used as its principal office.
Thomas Gounley of BusinessDen reported on Feb. 24 that Wilson and Ciara were were accepting offers on the mansion and providing tours to prospective buyers.
Gounley noted the property covers five acres, with the house covering 20,000 square feet. It includes 12 bathrooms, four bedrooms, his-and-hers walk-in closets, office space, a basketball court and an indoor swimming pool.
The Broncos announced on March 4 that Wilson was going to be released when the NFL league year started on March 13. They still owed him $39 million for the 2024 season and took an $85 million dead-cap hit to make the move.
Wilson signed a one-year contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers on March 15. He went 11-19 and threw for 6,594 yards with 42 touchdowns in 30 starts over the past two seasons with the Broncos.
