Under Armour All-America Game 2012: Which Players Will Be Future Stars?

Eric BowmanJun 6, 2018

The 2012 Under Armour All-America Game takes place Thursday night, and those who watch will get a glimpse of the future stars of college football.

Recruiting elite players is the main focus for the majority of teams right now, and Thursday's high school game is filled with tons of talented players college football fans will soon get to know.

But why wait? Here's a few players certain to be big stars once they hit the college level.

Eddie Goldman, DT

Listed at 6'4", 310 pounds, Goldman is the No. 1 defensive tackle in the class of 2012, and he will be a dynamic force wherever he lands.

According to ESPN , some of his top choices are Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Miami and Cal. Given how successful defensive tackles have been in the SEC, it's hard to imagine him going elsewhere.

Marcell Dareus and Nick Fairley are the two most recent big defensive linemen that stole the show in college football. Should Goldman choose Alabama or Auburn, he will be molded into the next big star.

Of course, as good as a player as he is, Goldman will thrive wherever he lands. Joining a winning team, however, will give Goldman more of the spotlight. Plus, excelling in the best conference in the country will look better in the eyes of the NFL.

Jameis Winston, QB

Committed to play for Florida State, Winston is rated the No. 1 QB by ESPN and Rivals, and the No. 2 QB by Scout.com

This dual-threat QB won't see much action in his freshman season, as he'll be learning how to run Jimbo Fisher's offense. Of course, should E.J. Manuel get hurt again, Winston may get a chance.

While fans will have to wait to see Winston in action, it will definitely be worth it. Listed at 6'4", 200 pounds, Winston has the speed to make defenders miss, but also has the arm strength to make the big-time throws.

Winston will split time at QB for the White teams, also known as team Blur, coached by former NFL head coach Steve Mariucci.

Expect big things from Winston when Fisher makes him the starter in a year or two.

Noah Spence, DE

A star player you won't have to wait to see is future Ohio State Buckeye Noah Spence. He's the No. 2 defensive end in the country, and he is also the first top-notch recruit for Urban Meyer

The Buckeyes struggled to get after the quarterback this past season, as the team leader in sacks only had seven. Second place was even worse with a few players tied with three sacks.

Spence will step in right away for the Buckeyes and immediately add pressure on opposing quarterbacks. Listed at 6'4", 245 pounds, Spence has room to add strength, but he's ready to prosper for Ohio State next year.

He'll continue to get better as each year goes on, helping make the Buckeyes a defensive force once again.
