Browns Rumors: Jerry Jeudy Adjusts Contract After Trade, Saves $10M for Salary Cap
Jerry Jeudy is helping his new team with cap flexibility for the 2024 season.
Field Yates of ESPN reported that the Cleveland Browns had restructured Jeudy's contract for the upcoming season and that it results in more than $10 million in extra cap space.

The Browns converted the "bulk" of Jeudy's contract into a bonus, which frees up the space. Jeudy was originally set to have a cap hit of $12.9 million. He is entering the final season of his rookie contact.
Jeudy was dealt to the Browns from the Denver Broncos for a fifth- and sixth-round pick in a move that became official on Wednesday. He was a first-round pick in 2020 and has 3,053 receiving yards with 11 touchdowns across the first four seasons of his career.
Jeudy has failed to record a 1,000 yard season, although no receiver on the Broncos has reached that mark during his tenure with the franchise. He did lead the team in receiving yards in 2020 and 2022, but going to Cleveland will be a chance for him to really break out and show the potential that made him a high pick in 2020.
Cleveland went 11-6 in 2023 and should remain a contender in 2024. Jeudy will be a solid option alongside Amari Cooper and will hope to build a case for either an extension with the Browns or a lucrative free agent contract during the 2025 offseason.
