Jets Should Target Odell Beckham Jr. If Released by Ravens amid NFL FA Rumors
Odell Beckham Jr. missed the entire 2022 NFL season due to a left torn ACL, then returned and played for the Baltimore Ravens in the 2023 campaign. However, his time with the team could be a one-and-done stint.
According to Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic, Beckham should become an unrestricted free agent "in a couple of days." There's an "expectation" that the 31-year-old wide receiver will become a post-June 1 cut, per the report.
Beckham has played for four teams during his nine-year NFL career, as he previously suited up for the New York Giants, Cleveland Browns and Los Angeles Rams. Which team could be next for the LSU product?

Making Sense of Every NFL Backfield After Draft 🧐
Josina Anderson of CBS Sports believes that a return to either the Rams or the Ravens could make sense for Beckham, but she also named the Kansas City Chiefs, San Francisco 49ers and New York Jets as other teams that could be good landing spots for the veteran WR.
Of those teams, the Jets could be the best opportunity for Beckham at this point in his career.
The Ravens didn't get Beckham the ball a ton during his lone season with the team. In 14 games, he recorded 35 catches for 565 yards and three touchdowns. Still, it was his most receiving yards since he totaled 1,035 during his first year in Cleveland in 2019.
Beckham can be a productive wide receiver at this point in his career, though. And the Jets will likely be looking for a player like him to help stabilize their receiving corps heading into the 2024 season.
Last offseason, Beckham was linked to the Jets, as he later expressed a desire to return to New York. However, he stated on the Punch Line Podcast earlier this year that the team "slow-played the offer."
That doesn't mean Beckham and the Jets can't work something out now.
New York could be in a better position to contend during the upcoming season, assuming that quarterback Aaron Rodgers stays healthy after missing nearly the entire 2023 campaign with a torn left Achilles tendon.
The Jets' offense already features some talented playmakers, such as running back Breece Hall and wide receiver Garrett Wilson. But they could use a veteran like Beckham to be a contributor who can also mentor some of the younger players on the roster.
It wouldn't make sense for New York to sign Beckham to a long-term deal. However, if he's open to a one-year contract, then it could be beneficial for him and the Jets to come to terms on an agreement.
Whether something like that comes to fruition or not, Beckham appears destined to hit the free-agent market. So there should be some teams interested in signing him. The Jets should put themselves among that group to see if there's a potential match.
