NFL Rumors: Kenny Moore, Colts Agree to 3-Year, $30M Contract; Record for Nickel CB
Kenny Moore is staying in Indianapolis for at least three more seasons.
Moore and the Indianapolis Colts have agreed to a three-year, $30 million deal in free agency, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The contract makes him the highest-paid nickel back in NFL history.
The news comes after ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported that the Colts were "making a strong push" to re-sign Moore this offseason.

Moore got his NFL start with the New England Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of Valdosta State in 2017. However, he was named to the franchise's practice squad before the Colts swooped in and signed him to their 53-man roster.
The 28-year-old has been in Indianapolis ever since, and he has emerged as a cornerstone in the franchise's secondary.
Moore is coming off a 2023 campaign in which he posted three interceptions, two of which were returned for touchdowns, six passes defended, 1.5 sacks and 93 tackles in 16 games.
Moore's best season came in 2021 when he recorded four interceptions, 13 passes defended, one forced fumble, one sack and 102 tackles in 17 games en route to his only Pro Bowl selection.
With Moore remaining in Indy, he'll continue to hold down the secondary alongside Nick Cross, Rodney Thomas II, Dallis Flowers and JuJu Brents.
Colts head coach Shane Steichen admitted back in January that Moore's presence on defense is invaluable for the franchise.
"Kenny Moore is a huge part of this football team," Steichen told reporters. "He's made a ton of plays for us. He's that leader on the backend for us, that veteran presence, getting guys lined up, the communication process, the way he prepares and works, it's big."
The Colts have retained a number of their high-end free agents this offseason, including wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr., defensive tackle Grover Stewart and defensive end Tyquan Lewis.
Safety Julian Blackmon, linebacker Ronnie Harrison Jr. and wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie are among the free agents the franchise still needs to sign.
