ACC Tournament 2024: TV Schedule and Early Men's Bracket Predictions
The North Carolina Tar Heels and Duke Blue Devils have 40 ACC tournament titles between them, but only one program has a recent victory at the event.
North Carolina, who leads the ACC at the moment, has not won the ACC tournament since 2016. Duke has three titles in that span. The Florida State Seminoles, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and Virginia Tech Hokies each have one win since 2016.
The Tar Heels should be favored to cut down the nets in Washington, D.C. as they pursue a No. 1 seed in the NCAA men's basketball tournament.
Duke will try to spoil the Tar Heels' conquest in a potential championship game that would be the third game of the season in the historic rivalry.
UNC and Duke have been in a class of their own in the ACC this season, and a while a surprise winner is always possible, it seems like the championship bout is predetermined.

A handful of key games are left to decide the top part of the ACC tournament bracket.
North Carolina and Duke's annual regular-season finale will determine the regular-season champion and No. 1 seed. UNC has been the better team for most of the season and is capable of winning inside Cameron Indoor Stadium.
Duke has a tough test on Saturday against the Virginia Cavaliers, but if it wins that contest, it should lock in a top-two seed in Washington D.C. That would set the Blue Devils on a title game collision course with the Tar Heels.
Virginia will likely finish at 13-7 in league play. It faces Georgia Tech in its regular-season finale. That would lock the Cavaliers into the No. 3 seed with a small bit of work to do to confirm its spot in the field of 68.
Virginia, the Wake Forest Demon Deacons and Clemson Tigers were all included in the NCAA tournament field in the latest projection from Bleacher Report's Kerry Miller.
Wake's position is more precarious because it followed up a home win over Duke with a road loss to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
The Demon Deacons need to win out to land a top-four seed in Washington D.C. A win over Clemson on March 9 would also help solidify Wake's NCAA tournament resume.
Clemson has one home game left against the Syracuse Orange. That could help the Tigers land the No. 5 seed even with a loss to Wake.
The Pittsburgh Panthers are in the best spot to land the No. 7 seed since Florida State and the NC State Wolfpack both come to the Petersen Events Center next week.
Virginia Tech should be the best of the below .500 schools since it is expected to go 2-1 in its last three games.
UNC, Duke, Virginia, Clemson and Wake Forest will likely represent the ACC in the NCAA tournament.
Only a surprise winner from the lower seeds would expand the conference's reach in the field of 68.
