NBA Rumors: Phoenix Suns Expected to Host 2027 NBA All-Star Weekend After Winning Bid
The NBA and the Phoenix Suns are nearing an agreement to stage the 2027 NBA All-Star Game in Phoenix, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania and Mike Vorkunov.
This would be the first time since 2009 the Suns host All-Star Weekend.
They will have a bit of a test run this summer when the Phoenix Mercury host the WNBA All-Star Game at Footprint Center.

Acuff Declares for NBA Draft
Selecting Phoenix continues the trend of placing future All-Star Games in the Western half of the United States and in warm-weather climates. The Golden State Warriors will be the hosts in 2025, followed by the Los Angeles Clippers in 2026.
This is great news for fans who wanted a change of pace after the event rotated through Atlanta, Cleveland, Salt Lake City and most recently Indianapolis.
It will be fascinating to see what the state of the Suns will be in 2027 because the organization's all-in approach could yield a number of different outcomes.
Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal can both hit free agency ahead of the 2026-27 season, while Devin Booker will be right in that zone where his future could be murky. He'll have two years left on his four-year, $221.1 million supermax extension, and that's a point in time when star players become the subject of steady trade speculation.
Maybe Phoenix will still be a title contender—perhaps having already won a championship—by the time the 2027 All-Star Game tips off. It's just as plausible that the franchise has had to pivot in an entirely new direction, and the All-Star festivities will drive home how dramatically the Suns' fortunes have changed.
