What's Next for Bianca Belair and the Losers of WWE Elimination Chamber Matches?

Graham GSM MatthewsFeb 25, 2024

WWE Elimination Chamber 2024 featured no shockers among the outcomes but successfully set the stage for what it is shaping up to be a star-studded WrestleMania 40.

Rhea Ripley retained her Women's World Championship against Nia Jax in emphatic fashion and now shifts her focus toward Becky Lynch, who reigned supreme in the women's Chamber match to set the show.

Drew McIntyre also emerged victorious as expected in his Chamber match to punch his ticket to 'Mania, where he will challenge Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship.

However, there are several Superstars who came up short in Perth whose roads to WrestleMania are a lot less certain, and with Chamber being the last major stop ahead of the anticipated pay-per-view, it's unknown how they'll now factor into the 'Mania mix.

A handful of feuds were furthered at the event and are expected to be blown off on The Grandest Stage of Them All, while others are left without an obvious opponent.

From Bianca Belair to LA Knight, let's look at what's next for these five notable names following their failures at Elimination Chamber.

Bianca Belair

1 of 5

As Bianca Belair pointed out herself on last Monday's Raw, WrestleMania can't be spelled without EST, but as it currently stands, The EST of WWE doesn't have a confirmed role at WrestleMania 40.

She promised to win the women's Royal Rumble followed by the number one contender's Elimination Chamber match but was unsuccessful on both occasions. For the first time since joining the main roster, if she does compete at 'Mania, it won't involve either of the main women's singles titles.

However, it actually means more for Belair to compete in a non-title match this year, something that has never been done in a one-on-one scenario in WrestleMania history. That's not counting anything with a silly stipulation ("cat fights," lingerie matches, etc.).

She could easily find a partner and chase the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship given her documented history with Damage CTRL, but her against Tiffany Stratton would be a far more appealing matchup.

They didn't eliminate each other inside the Chamber but have had a handful of interactions on WWE TV over the last month. Stratton shined at Saturday's event and would benefit big time from a high-profile match at 'Mania with a star the caliber of Belair so early in her career.

Randy Orton

2 of 5

Randy Orton stepped inside the Elimination Chamber in Perth with the intent of earning the opportunity to challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania.

Unfortunately for him, he did not come away with the win–and Logan Paul is entirely to blame.

Orton eliminated the United States champion with a swift RKO, though Paul quicky retaliated by striking Orton with brass knuckles and causing him to be pinned by the ultimate victor Drew McIntyre.

There was no indication on television that in the works prior to the pay-per-view, but Orton vs. Paul now appears to be the direction heading into The Show of Shows. The star-spangled prize is virtually guaranteed to be up for grabs as well.

That's an excellent use of both guys on the grand stage, especially with it being a first-time-ever encounter. Regardless of who goes over, it's also an effective way to ensure the belt will be defended in an important match on the card like last year.

Expect Orton to have revenge on the mind as early as Friday's SmackDown.

Nia Jax

3 of 5

The idea of Nia Jax headlining a WWE pay-per-view one year ago would have been almost unfathomable.

Her return to the company last September was met with a mixed reaction from fans, but to her credit, she's been booked exceptionally well as an unstoppable force, has improved all areas of her game and has been putting in the best work of her career.

As a result, she was a worthy challenger for Rhea Ripley in her home country and pushed her to the limit like no other opponent has during her lengthy title reign. Jax may have suffered her first singles defeat since 2021 but is far from carving a path of destruction in the women's division.

Monday's Raw should give fans a better idea of where she goes from her, but a WrestleMania match with WWE newcomer Jade Cargill would seem to make sense.

The two had an electric showdown during the women's Rumble, and if kept short and sweet, a one-on-one outing between them would be quite the spectacle for what would be Cargill's first singles match in the company.

LA Knight

4 of 5

After falling short of dethroning Roman Reigns as Undisputed WWE Universal champion at Crown Jewel and the Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber was his final opportunity to punch his ticket to WrestleMania where he could contend for more gold.

That dream was destroyed by AJ Styles, who opportunistically entered the Chamber and viciously attacked Knight to set up his elimination.

The ambush shouldn't have been completely unexpected as Knight previously cost Styles the chance to compete in the Chamber. Styles has also blamed Knight for stealing his spot in SmackDown's main-event scene at the end of 2023.

That angle at Saturday's show all but confirmed that, unless they'll be involved in a bigger multi-man match for the United States Championship, they are on a collision course for a singles match at 'Mania.

That will mark Knight's debut at the April extravaganza. Both men missed last year's installment for various reasons and deserve the spotlight this time around.

A gimmick matchup of some sort would allow them to settle their score accordingly.

Liv Morgan

5 of 5

Liv Morgan returned to WWE TV with a vengeance in the women's Royal Rumble last month and again came close to winning the whole thing.

Doing so would have provided her with the opportunity to advance to WrestleMania and battle her friend-turned-foe Rhea Ripley for the Women's World Championship. As Morgan has made clear, it was Ripley who put her on the shelf (in storyline) last summer and cost her six months of her career.

She was unsuccessful in the women's Elimination Chamber as well, narrowly losing to Becky Lynch in the final few seconds. Seeing as how her defeat was decisive, it's unlikely she'll be added to the Women's World title match at 'Mania as she arguably should be.

If Nia Jax and Jade Cargill collide as expected, Morgan may be left off WrestleMania entirely.

The only exception would be if she reunites with Raquel Rodriguez to vie for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship or participate in the women's WrestleMania Showcase multi-tag team match (assuming the concept is brought back).

Morgan being excluded from WrestleMania plans would be a definite disappointment, but there's still time for her to work her way into something significant on the show.
