JJ Redick Slams Patrick Beverley's Video, Responds with His Stats vs. James Harden

Erin WalshFeb 21, 2024

The beef between Milwaukee Bucks guard Patrick Beverley and former NBA guard and current ESPN analyst JJ Redick continues to escalate.

After Beverley said on his Pat Bev Podcast that Redick was torched by James Harden during the Los Angeles Clippers' Western Conference semifinal matchup against the Houston Rockets in 2015 and that Doc Rivers should've started Jamal Crawford instead, Redick responded with his stats against Harden in that series:

The beef between Beverley and Redick started after Redick criticized Rivers, who is now head coach of the Bucks after taking over midseason, during an appearance on ESPN's First Take earlier this week.

Redick suggested that Rivers, who replaced Adrian Griffin, "is always making excuses" and that "there's never accountability with that guy" amid Milwaukee's 3-7 start under the longtime NBA head coach.

Beverley responded to Redick's comments on X, writing that Rivers "saved" his career, and the back-and-forth has only continued from there:

There's seemingly no end in sight to the drama between Beverley and Redick.

Beverley and the Bucks, which sit third in the Eastern Conference, are set to return from the All-Star break on Friday against the Minnesota Timberwolves, so perhaps Beverley will be more focused on helping Milwaukee win games than getting in arguments with Redick moving forward.
