Men's WWE Elimination Chamber 2024 Match Predictions for Participants and Winner

Erik BeastonFeb 12, 2024

Triple H and Raw and SmackDown general managers Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis announced Friday night on SmackDown that the No. 1 contender to Seth Rollins' World Heavyweight Championship will be determined inside the Elimination Chamber on February 24 in Perth, Australia.

We know the match will be one of the marquee matches of the premium live event, airing at 4:30 a.m. ET, but who can fans expect to see compete inside the unforgiving confines of the steel structure?

Find out with this preview, and predictions, for the competitors, as well as the eventual winner.

The Stakes

1 of 4

The winner of the Men's Elimination Chamber Match on February 24 in Perth will challenge Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Rollins has reigned as champion since May 27, when he defeated AJ Styles in the tournament finals to win the title.

The original plan for WrestleMania, per Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, would have seen CM Punk challenge Rollins for the top prize on the Raw brand. The untimely torn triceps suffered by the former at Royal Rumble stunted those plans and forced a rewrite on the part of WWE Creative.

The winner of the Chamber match will now step into Punk's role and challenge The Visionary on wrestling's grandest stage.

Already Qualified

Drew McIntyre cashed his ticket to Perth for on February 24 by way of a victory over AJ Styles Friday night on SmackDown, with a little help from LA Knight, whose distraction set him up to score the high-stakes victory.

Joining him is Randy Orton, who earned his way to the Elimination Chamber Match by defeating a game and determined Sami Zayn.

McIntyre and Orton share a rich history as opponents, with The Viper ending The Scottish Warrior's first reign as WWE Champion during the COVID-19 pandemic era in 2020.

Can he thwart McIntyre's attempt to compete against Rollins at WrestleMania 40?

Potentially, but so might a few of McIntyre's other longtime rivals.

Predictions for Participants

Qualifying Matches Yet to Occur

Bobby Lashley vs. "Big" Bronson Reed (WWE Raw)

LA Knight vs. Ivar (WWE Raw)

The Miz vs. Logan Paul (WWE SmackDown)

Kevin Owens vs. Dominik Mysterio (WWE SmackDown)

On the surface, Knight looks like a shoe-in to win his qualifier on Raw and advance to the premium live event, but the dark cloud that is Styles hangs over it.

Knight cost Styles his match against McIntyre, intensifying what is already a heated rivalry. Retaliation should be expected, and it would be of no surprise whatsoever for that to occur Monday night.

Ivar may not have the name recognition or value of the other prospective competitors but he has been one of the bright spots of the Raw brand since embarking on a singles run while Erik is recovering from injury.

A spot in the Elimination Chamber would allow him to show out in a way that Montez Ford did a year ago at the same premium live event. It is an opportunity he has earned and if WWE is intent on running Knight vs. Styles, which it appears may be the case, this is one way to both reward a hard worker and get to that match.

There should be no other surprises, with Lashley, Paul, and Owens all winning their respective qualifiers and setting up a star-studded contest.

Predictions for Winner

4 of 4

The moment Punk was officially out of the WrestleMania picture by way of a torn triceps that he suffered during the Royal Rumble match, McIntyre became the next most logical opponent for Rollins.

One of the best characters on WWE TV and a guy seizing the opportunity to let his personality shine through increased TV time and promo opportunities, he has developed into an antagonistic heel who targets fan favorites, both in the ring and on social media.

Above that, he believes he should be the World Heavyweight Champion with the chance to prove he can carry the company in front of living, breathing fans, something he did not have the opportunity to do during his first run in the COVID-19 pandemic era.

He is the best heel, one who believes they are justified in their thoughts and actions. He is driven by logic and an Andre the Giant-sized chip on his shoulder. Fans could conceivably get behind him as they have Cody Rhodes...if he were not so unlikable.

Likable or not, this feels like his time for redemption against an opponent in Rollins with whom he can have a legitimate Match of the Year candidate in front of a hardcore Philadelphia fanbase that appreciates stellar in-ring action.

Whether he wins the title and gets that WrestleMania moment that has eluded him will ultimately depend on whether he has signed a new deal with the company, as his current contract ends after the event.
