Chargers Rumors: Jim Harbaugh Eyes Marcus Brady as OC After Kellen Moore Joins Eagles
The Los Angeles Chargers have requested an interview with Philadelphia Eagles senior offensive assistant Marcus Brady regarding the team's vacancy at offensive coordinator, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
Prior to his time with Philadelphia, Brady served as the offensive coordinator for the Indianapolis Colts from 2021 through 2022. It appears that new head coach Jim Harbaugh is interested in allowing him to reprise his previous role with the Colts in Los Angeles after the Chargers' former offensive coordinator, Kellen Moore, was hired by the Eagles on Saturday (per ESPN's Adam Schefter).
Brady's name has come up in several rumors throughout the current hiring cycle. The Chicago Bears and Carolina Panthers have both requested interviews with him to become an offensive coordinator on each team's staff, per Fowler and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport respectively.

Colts Release Kenny Moore

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮
Although his tenure with the Colts came to an abrupt end after he was fired in the middle of the 2022 season, there were still some promising signs earlier in his time with the organization. In his first year as offensive coordinator, Indianapolis owned the No. 9 scoring offense in the NFL.
He was the team's quarterbacks coach in 2020, helping Philip Rivers stay sharp during the final season of his exceptional career. At 39 years old, Rivers completed 68.0 percent of his passes for 4,169 yards and 24 touchdowns against 11 interceptions.
If he joined the Chargers staff, Brady would have the opportunity to work with Justin Herbert, as the 2022 Pro Bowl quarterback has continued to excel despite the poor supporting cast around him.
Although Moore previously shined with the Dallas Cowboys, he wasn't able to work his magic in his lone season with Los Angeles. The Chargers had the eighth-worst rushing attack in the NFL, while Herbert averaged the fewest passing yards per game in his career.
