Chiefs vs. Ravens: Daily Fantasy Sleepers, Lineup Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings
Travis Kelce has been one of the most reliable postseason daily fantasy football players on FanDuel and DraftKings over the last few years.
That should not change in the AFC Championship Game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens.
Kelce is one of two high-volume pass-game targets that Patrick Mahomes has to work with along with Rashee Rice.
Kansas City's offensive strategy should be very simple. Mahomes should feed Rice and Kelce and rely on Isiah Pacheco for balance out of the rushing attack.
Baltimore's approach should be more spread out, which makes it more difficult to pin down who will be Lamar Jackson's top targets.
Jackson carries a bit more DFS intrigue than Mahomes at quarterback because of his high rush-yard potential and rushing touchdowns. Jackson's legs not just be the difference in the game, but the reason why the Ravens land in the Super Bowl.
Build Around Travis Kelce
1 of 3
Travis Kelce's postseason game log is the dream of DFS players.
Kelce enters Baltimore with at least 70 receiving yards in each of his last 11 postseason appearances.
Kelce added to that total with five catches for 75 yards and two touchdowns in the divisional round against the Buffalo Bills.
The Kansas City tight end should be the base of all DFS lineups because of how often Mahomes will target him.
Kelce's postseason touchdown record is another reason to use him as a lineup anchor, no matter which team you stack on FanDuel or DraftKings.
Kelce has 12 playoff scores in the last four years, including a trio of multi-score games.
Take Lamar Jackson over Patrick Mahomes
2 of 3
Lamar Jackson's 100-yard, two-touchdown performance on the ground against the Houston Texans should persuade you to take him over Patrick Mahomes in DFS lineups.
The rushing component of Jackson's game allows him to pick up more fantasy points than his Kansas City counterpart.
Jackson also has a higher likelihood of rushing in one, or two, touchdowns, while Mahomes' touchdown potential could be taken away by Isiah Pacheco.
At least with Jackson you know that he is a touchdown threat in both aspects of the offense and that he is one of Baltimore's top red-zone threats.
A few points will likely separate the leaders in any DFS contest. Jackson's rushing ability could create that separation if he finds the end zone with his legs.
Better Sleepers Reside on Baltimore Roster
3 of 3
Baltimore's offense has more variance in terms of key contributors than Kansas City.
The Chiefs are going to ride Pacheco, Rice and Kelce and maybe get one big pass play from someone further down the depth chart.
Baltimore's passing attack was more balanced in the divisional round, and it should be even more balanced with the return of Mark Andrews.
Andrews will be a high-profile DFS target, but we are not sure how much of an impact he will make his first game back from a two-month injury layoff.
Rashod Bateman, who had three catches for 39 yards against Houston, is an ideal sleeper option.
Bateman will not have a heavy target rate, but Jackson trusts him in key spots, and that could lead to a similar total as last week.
Odell Beckham Jr. could make a big play and do not count out Isaiah Likely making an impact despite being the No. 2 tight end again.
Nelson Agholor could be the ultimate wild-card for DFS lineups. He scored a touchdown last week, but some DFS players may turn away from him because of Andrews' return.
