Chiefs HC Reid: Bills Fans Were 'Flipping Us off as We Came in' for NFL Playoff Game
Buffalo Bills fans made sure to roll out the red carpet — or their version of it at least — as Kansas City Chiefs personnel arrived at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York.
Chiefs head coach Andy Reid told NBC Sports' Peter King the atmosphere around Sunday's 27-24 AFC divisional round victory over the Buffalo Bills checked all of the boxes in terms of having a postseason feel.
The competition. The crowd. Special," he said. "This environment here is like crazy from throwing snowballs and hitting our bus before the game started. Flipping us off as we came in. During the game, they were loud, so loud. You know how they sing the last part of that National Anthem? They were trying to make sure you couldn't hear our fans say, 'Chieeeeeefs' in there."

From a neutral perspective, the matchup more than lived up to the hype as well.
The style was much different from Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen's shootout in the 2022 divisional round. The star quarterbacks combined to throw for just 401 yards.
But the drama wasn't in short supply as Buffalo and Kansas City went back and forth until Tyler Bass' missed field goal with 1:47 on the clock doomed the home team to defeat.
Some might push back on the idea of calling this a rivalry because the Chiefs have consistently gotten the better of the Bills when it matters. But there's no question these encounters simply carry a unique vibe of late.
