Texans' C.J. Stroud: 'Really an Honor to Share the Field with' Ravens' Lamar Jackson
Despite a loss in the Divisional Round, it looks like Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud is looking at the positives.
The Texans fell 34-10 to the top-seeded Baltimore Ravens Saturday and quarterback Lamar Jackson put on a show. He went 16-of-22 for 152 yards and a touchdown in the passing game while contributing 100 yards and two additional touchdowns on the ground.
Stroud said that the opportunity to share the field with Jackson on this stage was "an honor."

"Lamar is a dog," Stroud said, per Aaron Wilson of KPRC Houston. "I've been a fan of his since high school. It's really an honor to share the field with a player like that."
It was not Stroud's best day as he went 19-of-33 for 175 yards, but he already flashed some playoff heroics earlier in the playoffs. In the Wild Card Round against the Cleveland Browns, Stroud threw for nearly 300 yards and 3 touchdowns en route to a dominant victory.
He also had a de facto playoff matchup in Week 18 against the Indianapolis Colts, so he has shown his ability to come through in big games. Jackson's performance in the Divisional Round was his opportunity to show up in the clutch, as the victory sealed his first berth in the Conference Championship in his heralded career.
The Texans' season falls short of a Lombardi Trophy but the future is still bright for a team that was coming off of a 3-13-1 season.
