Robert Griffin III Calls Out Ex-Commanders HC Jay Gruden About Preparation
Former Washington Commanders head coach Jay Gruden got more than he bargained for when he chimed in on the Philadelphia Eagles' lackluster performance in a 32-9 NFL playoff loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Gruden didn't think the Eagles had set star quarterback Jalen Hurts up for success:

That prompted a response from Robert Griffin III, who played under Gruden for two years with Washington:
Gruden took the Commanders job in 2014, after Griffin suffered the knee injury that effectively derailed his career. Maybe the right coach could've had him playing like a Pro Bowler again, but it was quickly apparent that year Gruden wouldn't be that person.
Griffin wasn't a great fit for the West Coast style the coach wanted to deploy, and theirs always looked to be a marriage of convenience. Kirk Cousins, whom Gruden appeared to prefer early on, got the starting job to open 2015 and the rest is history.
Even though we're talking about stuff that's nearly a decade old, you can understand why Gruden's post might've touched a nerve for Griffin.
