Bucs' Baker Mayfield Earns $250K Contract Incentive with NFL Playoff Win over Eagles
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield earned a significant payday with Monday's 32-9 win over the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Wild Card Round of the playoffs.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the victory netted Mayfield $250,000 in incentives, and he will receive another $250,000 with each additional playoff win this postseason.
Mayfield was a driving force behind Tampa's win over the defending NFC champions, as he threw for 337 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions in the upset.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮
After entering the league as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NFL draft, Mayfield spent four seasons with the Cleveland Browns.
Mayfield led the Browns to one playoff appearance and one playoff win, but the organization decided to move on following the 2021 season, as it acquired quarterback Deshaun Watson from the Houston Texans.
Cleveland dealt Mayfield to the Carolina Panthers, but after he went 1-5 in six starts last season, the Panthers cut bait, and he caught on with the Los Angeles Rams.
Mayfield made four starts for the Rams last season with starting quarterback Matthew Stafford out injured, and he posted a 1-3 record.
All told, Mayfield appeared in 12 games and made 10 starts last season, going 2-8 and completing 60.0 percent of his passes for 2,163 yards, 10 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
Given his subpar performance, Mayfield had to settle for a one-year, $4 million contract with the Bucs in free agency.
Following Tom Brady's retirement, Mayfield was given the chance to compete with Kyle Trask for the starting job, and he won it out of training camp.
Mayfield went on to start all 17 regular-season games for the Buccaneers, and he set new career bests with a 64.3 percent completing percentage, 4,044 passing yards and 28 passing touchdowns, while throwing only 10 picks.
Tampa Bay went 9-8, which was good enough to win the NFC South and earn a home game for Super Wild Card Weekend.
Despite being at home, the Bucs weren't widely expected to win, as they faced an Eagles team that represented the NFC in the Super Bowl last season.
The Eagles lost five of their final six regular-season games, though, and their defensive issues carried over to the playoffs, as Mayfield carved up their suspect secondary.
Mayfield and the Bucs have already far exceeded expectations this season, meaning they will be playing with house money when they go on the road to face the Detroit Lions in the NFC Divisional Round next weekend.
If Mayfield can pull off another upset, he will be $250,000 richer, and he will make his case for a sizable new contract even stronger.
