Raiders Rumors: Leslie Frazier Expected to Interview for HC Job Amid Chargers Buzz
Leslie Frazier is expected to interview for the Las Vegas Raiders' head coaching job on Tuesday, per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
The expected interview comes amid the Los Angeles Chargers also expressing interest in Frazier. The Chargers revealed on X on Sunday that they had completed an interview with Frazier.
Frazier served as the Buffalo Bills defensive coordinator from 2017 to 2022, also taking on the assistant head coach role in 2020. He was the Minnesota Vikings head coach from 2011 to 2013, but was fired after a 5–10–1 season.

In his final year with the Bills, Frazier led Buffalo's defense to the second-best defensive rating in the NFL, just behind the San Francisco 49ers. Following that season, Frazier announced that he would take the year off in 2023, but did say he planned to return to coaching in 2024, though not necessarily with the Bills.
The Raiders are looking for a full-time replacement for head coach Josh McDaniels, who was fired in November amid a 3-5 start. Las Vegas ended up winning five of its last nine games under interim coach Antonio Pierce, including a 63-21 win over the Chargers, which was ultimately head coach Brandon Staley's final game as Los Angeles' coach.
Staley was fired in December along with general manager Tom Telesco after a 5-9 start and a routing against the Raiders. Now, Los Angeles will look to replace the three-year head coach, and Frazier seems to be on the short list.
Frazier had mixed success in his short tenure as a head coach, but now having 10 more years of experience, he'll be looking to find success with his next team if he is hired this offseason.
