Jim Harbaugh, Michigan CFB Players Visit Children's Hospital with Championship Trophy
Jim Harbaugh and a few Michigan players made a special visit with the national championship trophy on Friday.
Harbaugh and Co. stopped by Mott Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan, to meet with kids and show them the trophy that the Wolverines earned earlier this week.
The move by Harbaugh and Michigan certainly brightened the day of some of the patients at the hospital.
Michigan capped off an undefeated season with a win over Washington in the CFP title game on Monday after getting past Alabama in an overtime thriller in the semifinal game. The championship marks Michigan's first since 1997.
The Wolverines faced plenty of adversity this season, dealing with two separate suspensions for Harbaugh—one for recruiting violations during the COVID-19 pandemic and the other for Michigan's alleged sign-stealing saga.
Now, Michigan can relax for a little bit and enjoy the continued celebrations.
While he will soak up the win for a while, Harbaugh also faces a decision. The ninth-year head coach was reportedly offered a 10-year, $125 million contract extension from Michigan that would make him one of the highest-paid head coaches in college football. However, he has also reportedly been linked to a possible return to the NFL.
For now, Harbaugh will continue to celebrate the championship with his team and the Michigan community.
