Eagles' Jalen Hurts Says He Hasn't Thrown a Football Since Finger Injury vs. Giants
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts told reporters that he hasn't thrown a football since suffering a dislocated middle finger on his right hand against the New York Giants last Sunday.
Hurts was listed as a limited participant on the Eagles' Thursday injury report.

The Eagles will visit the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for an NFC Wild Card round matchup on Monday evening.
ESPN's Tim McManus explained how Hurtssuffered the injury, which occurred in the second quarter of the Eagles' 27-10 loss to New York:
"Hurts' hand collided with the hand of Giants linebacker Bobby Okereke during a pass attempt early in the second quarter. Cameras showed that his finger was displaced -- Hurts later told reporters that it 'popped out' -- but he reentered the game after having the finger taped and testing it out on the sideline."
Hurts soon left the game for good, however, alongside other starters as the Giants got up 24-0. It ended up being a meaningless game in the standings for the Eagles, who would have been the NFC's No. 5 seed win or loss after the Dallas Cowboys simultaneously beat the Washington Commanders 38-10 to win the East.
But now attention turns toward Hurts' finger. Obviously, that's a massive concern with the game just four days away. The Eagles are certainly thankful to be on the tail end of this weekend's NFL playoff schedule, giving Hurts more time to recuperate. But still, it's unclear how Hurts—who McManus reported has been wearing a glove—will be come Monday.
It's another tough situation for an Eagles team dealing with a host of problems heading into the playoffs. Philadelphia's 10-1 start has led to a 1-5 finish that included blowout losses to the San Francisco 49ers, Cowboys and six-win Giants as well as blown leads and defeats to the Seattle Seahawks and four-win Arizona Cardinals. The defense in particular has been disastrous and proven incapable of stopping any team right now.
The only good thing going for the Eagles is that every playoff team starts the postseason with a fresh 0-0 slate. We'll see if they can turn it around in Tampa soon enough when the Bucs welcome the Eagles Monday evening.
