ESPN: Jim Harbaugh Won't Make Any 'Firm Decisions About the NFL in the Next Few Days'
Fresh off leading Michigan to its first national title since 1997, Jim Harbaugh isn't in a rush to make a decision about his future.
Per ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, Harbaugh is unlikely to make "any fast and firm decisions" about a potential return to the NFL in the next few days to allow himself time to enjoy the Wolverines' 34-13 victory over Washington on Monday.
"He can make decisions after that," Fowler wrote, "which makes sense, given teams need multiple weeks to interview candidates in the playoffs and satisfy Rooney Rule requirements. While Harbaugh has been tied to the Chargers and the Raiders, the belief is Washington also has some preliminary interest."

Harbaugh said during his post-game press conference that he wanted to "enjoy this" moment before thinking about anything else.
"I just want to enjoy this," he said. "I hope you give me that. Can a guy have that? Does it always have to be what's next, what's the future? Like I said the other day, I hope to have a future. I hope there's a tomorrow, a day after tomorrow, a next week, a next month, a next year."
There are plenty of indications that Harbaugh is at least strongly considering a move back to the NFL. He hired agent Don Yee, who also represents Tom Brady and Sean Payton, per ESPN's Adam Schefter and Pete Thamel.
NFL Network's Tom Pelissero (starts at 1:40 mark) reported on Tuesday that Harbaugh has already examined the openings with the Las Vegas Raiders and Los Angeles Chargers.
Michigan is certainly going to do everything in its power to convince Harbaugh to stay. The university has put a 10-year, $125 million contract extension on the table that includes a clause he won't entertain any NFL job for the 2024 season, per NFL.com's Ian Rapoport.
Harbaugh has all the momentum in the world right now. He went back to his alma mater and accomplished his goal of bringing a national title back to Ann Arbor. The Wolverines have been one of the most dominant teams in the nation over the past three seasons with a 37-3 record.
The 60-year-old has a proven track record of success everywhere he goes. He's had winning records in college at San Diego (29-6), Stanford (29-21) and Michigan (86-25). The San Francisco 49ers went 44-19-1 in four seasons with Harbaugh from.
