Chiefs' Chris Jones: Playoff Game vs. Dolphins Could Be My Last Game at Arrowhead
Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones, an impending free agent, acknowledged that he could be playing his last game at Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday, when his team hosts the Miami Dolphins for an AFC Wild Card matchup.
Jones has established himself as a franchise legend during his eight years in town, making five Pro Bowls and an All-Pro team. He's helped guide the Chiefs to three AFC titles and two Super Bowl victories.

Jones held out this offseason and into the regular season due to a contract dispute. He sat out the Chiefs' first game before joining Kansas City for Week 2.
Jones has kept up his production in his eighth season, amassing 29 quarterback hits and 10.5 sacks. He's bound to get paid again after inking a one-year deal worth up to $25 million for the 2023 campaign.
Jones is eligible for the franchise tag next season. However, as Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk noted, bringing Jones back on the tag would be a pricy decision for the Chiefs.
"Per multiple sources, Jones's cap number of $27 million becomes the starting point for his tag in 2024, even if he doesn't earn all of his $19.5 million salary," Florio wrote.
"That equates to a franchise tag, by rule, of $32.4 million in 2024 (i.e., a 120-percent increase over his 2023 cap number)."
Ultimately, this very well could be the end of the road for Jones in Kansas City. However, what's paramount for Jones and the Chiefs right now is their Super Bowl title defense, which begins Saturday at 8 p.m. ET.
