Wilson suffered a concussion in New York's Week 15 loss to the Miami Dolphins and has been sidelined since.
Seeing as how Aaron Rodgers is expected to return from a torn Achilles next season, Wilson may have played his final game as a Jet as his name continues to circulate in trade rumors this winter.
The 24-year-old's season was highlighted by up-and-down play and some drama as he was benched multiple times while Gang Green tried to find some consistency under center with Rodgers sidelined in hopes of earning a playoff berth.
Wilson appeared in 12 games this season, making 11 starts. He completed 60.1 percent of his passes for 2,271 yards and eight touchdowns against seven interceptions, in addition to rushing for 211 yards as the Jets went 4-7 with him under center.
Siemian has started New York's last two games and also filled in for Wilson after he was knocked out of the Week 15 loss to the Dolphins.
The 32-year-old has completed 60.8 percent of his passes for 588 yards and two touchdowns against four interceptions in that span and led Gang Green to a 30-28 win over the Washington Commanders in Week 16.
Although Wilson won't suit up, the Jets should have a chance to beat the Patriots this weekend as New England has struggled mightily and has put together its worst season in more than a decade.
