NHL Trade Rumors: Chicago Blackhawks Should Just Stick with Current Roster
The Chicago Blackhawks are playing some of their best hockey since they won the Stanley Cup in 2010, so now doesn't seem to be the time to make any moves to the current roster.
With the Blackhawks currently tied for the most points in the NHL with the New York Rangers at 52, the team should leave the roster as is.
While it is always good to make additions, it can be a risk to mess with something that is going as well they are at the moment.

According to Jesse Rogers of ESPNChicago.com, the Blackhawks will be buyers at the trade deadline. While that fact remains to be seen, there have been rumblings that the Hawks have looked at some scenarios to add to their roster.
The Hawks have been rumored to be interested in the Edmonton Oilers' 22-year old center Sam Gagner. While he has been consistent over his young career, the move could cost the team some significant pieces.
It would definitely be a move that could benefit the Hawks, but with players like Jonathan Toews, Patrick Sharpe and Dave Bolland already on the team, it doesn't seem that Gagner would be worth the potential cost.
There is still a lot of time until the February 27th trade deadline arrives, so the Hawks may still be interested in making moves pending how play continues to go.
One area where the Hawks may be looking to improve is the net.
Both goalies—Corey Crawford and Ray Emery—haven't exactly been the best this season, but they still have some time to develop before the playoffs come around.
The Hawks have allowed 111 goals this season, which puts them at the 11th worst team in the league. Their offense has been strong all season long, but they will have to hope that they will be able to stop the opposition when the offense struggles.
Emery has been an effective backup, but it will remain to be seen how Crawford manages to handle things down the stretch.
For now though, the Hawks shouldn't touch a thing until they really start to see a drop in their play.
At this point in time, change should be the least of their worries.
