Todd McShay 2023 NFL Draft Big Board: Examining Final Rankings Released Before Round
The 2023 NFL draft is here.
Well, almost here, anyway.
The first round doesn't actually kick off until Thursday night, but once it gets rolling, it will be a whirlwind that could reshape the football landscape over the next three days.
Before the picks get going, though, draft experts took one more spin at building their final big boards. We'll go over the prospect rankings from ESPN's Todd McShay here.

The 'Other' Quarterbacks
3 of 3
As is the case with most drafts, expect an early run on quarterbacks. Given the position's importance, it happens almost every year. It could be exaggerated with this group, since four of McShay's top 11 prospects play the position.
Get past that quartet, though, and things dry up in a hurry.
Tennessee's Hendon Hooker has a tier all to himself as McShay's 33rd-ranked prospect. McShay praised Hooker's vertical throws and called him "a legitimate running threat with high-level agility, above-average speed and the strength to break tackles." He also dinged Hooker for being "inconsistent with his timing and ball placement on anticipatory throws."
After Hooker, the next quarterback listed is Fresno State's Jake Haener at No. 92. Then, BYU's Jaren Hall checks in at No. 123. UCLA's Dorian Thompson-Robinson is up next at No. 143. Houston's Clayton Tune lands at No. 188. Purdue's Aidan O'Connell clocks in at No. 192. Stanford's Tanner McKee sits at No. 219. Georgia's Stetson Bennett holds down the No. 237 spot.
McShay ran his rankings 350 prospects deep—for context, there are only 259 spots—which gets three other quarterbacks into the mix: TCU's Max Duggan (No. 286), Shepherd's Tyson Bagent (No. 334) and Minnesota's Tanner Morgan (No. 338).
