With that said, here are the three favorites to win Super Bowl XLVI.
Green Bay Packers
Aaron Rodgers will be very well rested and prepared to defend his Super Bowl MVP title. The first-round bye and home field advantage gives the Packers the ultimate edge this postseason, as they have been unstoppable all season long.
The defense is the weak spot, especially the secondary, but these are big moments, and the Packers have the stars that know how much they need to step up.
Even if the defense does falter, Rodgers has proven he has what it takes to win in the clutch, meaning the Packers are very likely to repeat as Super Bowl champs.
It's no secret Green Bay is a serious threat in the playoffs, and because of Aaron Rodgers, the Packers are the No. 1 favorite to play in the Super Bowl.
Baltimore Ravens
As the No. 2 seed in the AFC, the Ravens will finally be able to host a playoff game, which doesn't bode well for the opposing team.
They're listed above the No. 1 AFC seed, the New England Patriots, because the Ravens are a more complete team.
The Patriots defense is the worst in the league, and while they do have a fantastic offense because of Tom Brady, the defense will be their downfall.
Baltimore, on the other hand, ranks third in the NFL in total defense, and its offense has shown it can be very explosive.
The performance of Joe Flacco will determine how well the Ravens do, but because they're a superb on both sides of the ball, the Ravens are a team to fear in the postseason.
New Orleans Saints
The road is very difficult, but because the Saints have Drew Brees they make the top three of favorites.
Brees has been on fire this year, breaking the NFL record for most passing yards in a single season. Don't expect him to slow down in the playoffs, as he and the Saints should be meeting the Packers in the NFC title game.
That rematch would be one for the ages, as both a near equals in terms of talent and coaching.
New Orleans' offense is so good that it puts them ahead of the Patriots and San Francisco 49ers as favorites to win it all.
