Super Bowl 57 Prize Money: Bonus Payout Distribution for Chiefs vs. Eagles
Legacies and the Lombardi are hardly the only prizes achievable by the AFC champion Kansas City Chiefs and NFC champion Philadelphia Eagles when they clash in Glendale, Arizona, at Super Bowl LVII.
Beyond history and immortality, those on the winning team receive a considerable payday, enhancing the motivation, as if any of the players on any team needed it.
What payday awaits the victors and just how much larger is the number than what is awarded to the runners-up? Michael Ginnitti of Spotrac sheds some light on the figures.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Postseason Payout Totals
Wild Card Round (Division Winner): $46,500
Wild Card Round (Non-Division Winner): $41,500
Divisional Round: $46,500
Conference Championship: $69,000
Super Bowl (Winner): $157,000
Super Bowl (Loser): $82,000
There is a significant difference, financially, for the winner of the big game. The team that hoists the Lombardi earns $157,000, while the losing team receives $82,000.
That is a difference of $75,000, more than any winning team receives for any other playoff game in the postseason.
The Chiefs will be looking for their second championship since 2020, where they erased a San Francisco 49ers lead to emerge victoriously, while the Eagles will be looking for just their second title as a franchise, their first coming five seasons earlier with a dramatic win over the New England Patriots.
The Eagles of this season are an old-school team that runs the ball and plays stifling defense. The postseason has seen them give up an average of seven points per game in wins over the New York Giants and a quarterback-less 49ers squad.
The pass rush, led by Haason Reddick and a defensive line featuring veterans Fletcher Cox and Brandon Graham, will be key in securing a championship for the NFC champions. Not only will they be relied upon to disrupt the Kansas City offense, they will also look to make quarterback and MVP favorite Patrick Mahomes uncomfortable.
Considering Mahomes is still recovering from a high ankle sprain suffered in the AFC divisional round against Jacksonville, that could prove problematic for the all-world quarterback.
If the Eagles can stunt the offense by taking tight end Travis Kelce out of the equation, it will be a long day for a Chiefs team looking to establish itself as the dynasty of the 2020s. If Kelce gets hot and can exploit the middle of the Eagles defense, it could be a long day for a Philadelphia squad that has not been tested in the postseason.
The question, beyond the team's ability to exploit the pass rush, will be whether the Chiefs will have enough firepower to go score-for-score with a potent Philly offense considering injuries to top receivers.
Cornerback L'Jarius Sneed could prove costly, too, given the explosive play of Eagles wideouts AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith.
Still, this is a Chiefs team that has been here before and knows what it takes to win the Super Bowl, erasing at least some of the on-paper deficits facing them entering the big game.
