BCS Bowl Predictions: Bold Predictions for College Football's Biggest Games
The BCS bowl schedule kicks off Monday afternoon with the historic Rose Bowl Game in Pasadena, California. This year's matchup is destined to be one of the best in recent memory when the Big Ten champion Wisconsin Badgers take on the back-to-back-to-back Pac-12 champ Oregon Ducks.
Both teams boast dynamic offensive attacks and contrasting styles that should make for an intriguing result. After the Rose Bowl it will be off to the desert for the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, where Stanford's Andrew Luck will likely play his last college football game against the Big 12 champion Oklahoma State Cowboys.
Tuesday night will welcome the Michigan Wolverines back into the BCS with an Allstate Sugar Bowl matchup with ACC runner-up Virginia Tech in New Orleans. Meanwhile, the ACC champion Clemson Tigers will be preparing for their Orange Bowl contest with Big East champion West Virginia, scheduled for Wednesday night in South Beach.
And it all wraps up with the "Game of the Century Part II" No. 1 LSU and No. 2 Alabama will meet in New Orleans for the BCS National Championship Game. The Tigers will be shooting to cap off a perfect 14-0 season while the Crimson Tide looks to upset its rival en route to its second NC in three years under head coach Nick Saban.

Rose Bowl Game: Wisconsin vs. Oregon
1 of 5Russell Wilson's near flawless play under center for the Badgers this season helped the team to the Big Ten crown and trip back to the Rose Bowl.
Wilson's 31 passing scores were among the most of any elite quarterback in college football this season, and his three interceptions through 13 games will prove impossible to beat on Monday in Pasadena.
For as talented an offensive squad as Oregon is under Chip Kelly, they lack the clock-controlling, bruising running game that Wisconsin boasts.
Badgers running back Montee Ball and his 32 rushing touchdowns will be the deciding factor in this BCS matchup, as Wisconsin takes a barn-burner.
Winner: Wisconsin
Tostitos Fiesta Bowl: Stanford vs. Oklahoma State
2 of 5Don't be surprised when Cowboys quarterback Brandon Weeden outshines Andrew Luck on Monday night in Glendale, Arizona.
Weeden has what Luck doens't, a dynamic target in Justin Blackmon who has caught 15 touchdowns this season from the 28-year-old veteran college passer.
Weeden also has a safety net in the backfield in Joseph Randle, who has been flying under the radar all season long with 23 touchdowns on nearly 200 attempts for 1,193 yards rushing.
This game won't be about defense, and that being the case the Cowboys are better suited to win a shootout.
Winner: Oklahoma State
Allstate Sugar Bowl: Michigan vs. Virginia Tech
3 of 5Brady Hoke and the Michigan Wolverines fought back to make a BCS bowl this season and can cap their season off with a Sugar Bowl win over the overrated Virginia Tech Hokies.
The Hokies looked pitiful in two losses to Clemson this season, their only two defeats of the season. The last time anyone saw VT it was being blown out by the Tigers in the ACC Championship Game, the final read 38-10.
Michigan's scoring defense could very well produce a similar result in New Orleans on Tuesday night. First-year defensive coordinator Greg Mattison has the Wolverines' stoppers flying around and ranking in the top 10 in the nation in scoring D.
In the end it will be the Wolverines' 12th-ranked rushing attack led by junior quarterback Denard Robinson, a one-time Heisman candidate this season, overwhelming the Hokies young defense on the Superdome's fast track.
Winner: Michigan
Discover Orange Bowl: West Virginia vs. Clemson
4 of 5Although the Clemson Tigers' 2011 season has been marred by an inconsistent final five games, their 8-0 start was no fluke.
On Wednesday night the ACC champs take on the flawed Big East champs from West Virginia in Miami, and the high-power Tigers offense will prove superior to the Mountaineers similarly explosive attack.
Quarterback Tajh Boyd and incredible freshman wide receiver Sammy Watkins will have their name called time and again as they connect for big play after big play against a porous WVU defense, which is allowing more than 26 points per game this season.
The Mountaineers and experienced quarterback Geno Smith will be difficult to slow in the spread offense, but Clemson faces equal talent in practice every day. WVU's three-game winning streak will come to an end in the Orange Bowl.
Winner: Clemson
BCS National Championship Game: Alabama vs. LSU
5 of 5The 2011 college football season will come to an end next Monday night in New Orleans when the two best teams in the country meet for the title.
Despite the controversy surrounding the matchup, Alabama has as impressive a resume as any worthy challenger and boasts the nation's top scoring defense this season, allowing just 8.8 points per game.
Unfortunately for the Tide not much has changed since they lost a 9-6 battle in Tuscaloosa last November. Trent Richardson is still their only offensive weapon and their defense lacks big play ability.
Meanwhile, LSU will be playing closer to home this time around and has game-changing potential at both corner spots with Tyrann Mathieu and Morris Claiborne shutting down opposing passing games consistently.
The Tigers offense won't get in the way of their dominant D in this game, and that's why they will claim the all-important second victory over 'Bama in another low-scoring classic.
Winner: LSU
