Booking the Perfect Men's and Women's WWE Survivor Series WarGames Matches
When the 2022 edition of Survivor Series kicks off on Saturday night in Boston, it will feature two WarGames matches for the first time in the long history of the pay-per-view.
In the men’s WarGames bout, The Bloodline—Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa, Sami Zayn and The Usos—will take on The Brawling Brutes, Drew McIntyre and Kevin Owens. On the women’s side, Damage CTRL, Nikki Cross and Rhea Ripley will square off against Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss, Asuka, Mia Yim and a mystery teammate.
With so many possible options for the outcomes of the two marquee matches, here is the best way to book each bout.

Men’s WarGames Match
The previous WarGames matches booked by Triple H in NXT have all been exciting spectacles that allowed everyone involved to have their moment to shine, and there's no reason to believe the same won’t happen on the main roster come Saturday night.
In the men’s match, the WWE Universe gets to see The Bloodline join forces for the first time and square off against the babyface team, led by the returning Kevin Owens.
While everyone will be talking about Roman Reigns and what the world champion does in the match, the interaction between Sami Zayn and KO should be the real focus.
The Tribal Chief could easily lose in this multi-man match and it wouldn’t impact his title reign or how his character is perceived, giving WWE the chance to build another Superstar into a viable world championship contender.
With The Bloodline likely dominating the contest, there must come a point when Zayn and Owens are in the ring together. The Honorary Uce's indecisiveness about attacking his longtime friend should cost Reigns and his team the victory.
With Jey Uso leading the charge, Zayn should be expelled from the group and reform his alliance with KO, likely leading to a long-term feud with Jimmy and Jey that culminates with a title change at WrestleMania 39.
Women’s WarGames Match
Fans are expecting Becky Lynch to make her triumphant return to WWE programming on Friday's SmackDown and announce herself as the fifth member of Bianca Belair’s team.
While Triple H and Co. should have waited to make the announcement until the last possible second during the premium live event, her addition to the contest makes it more exciting to the general public and should generate more mainstream attention.
With the face team winning the men’s match, WWE should take the opportunity to book several storylines out of the women’s bout due to Team Belair losing. While Lynch and Bayley should kick off their feud in the cage, the faces should take the loss after Alexa Bliss turns on The EST of WWE.
The Goddess has been subtly teasing a heel turn since the return of Bray Wyatt and what better way to show her dominance again than by attacking the Raw women’s champion and costing her team the victory at Survivor Series?
By building two marquee feuds out of the match—Bliss vs. Belair for the title, and Lynch vs. Bayley and the rest of Damage CTRL—the outcome won’t be as important as the impact the bout has on the company’s programming through the Royal Rumble 2023.
