Evian Championship 2022: Tee Times, Dates, TV Schedule, LPGA Prize Money
Minjee Lee enters the Evian Championship as the reigning champion and the only golfer on the LPGA Tour with multiple major victories since 2021.
Lee's victory earlier this season at the U.S. Women's Open confirmed her spot on top of the women's golf game.
A lot of focus in France this week will be on Lee's chase of a repeat and the quest for a third major title in 12 months.

Lee will attempt to become the first repeat winner of the Evian Championship since it became a major. She became the eighth different winner of the major event in France in 2021.
Americans Jennifer Kupcho and Nelly Korda will be two of the top contenders to beat Lee, but they do not have history on their side.
Only one American has won at the Evian or the Women's British Open, the two European-based majors, since 2013.

The European and Asian golfers have had way more success than the Americans at the European-based majors dating back to 2013.
Lee became the first Australian to win the event as a major last season. Karrie Webb was the last Australian to win the tournament in 2006 when it was off the major schedule. The Evian Championship became the fifth major on the LPGA Tour in 2013.
Since it became a major, the Evian has not had a repeat champion, and low scores have become a regularity.
All but one of the eight major winners at the Evian carded a final tournament score of 10 under or better. Lee finished at 18 under thanks to a final-round 64 in 2021.
Lee should be considered the favorite because of her triumph in France 12 months ago and her recent major form.
The Australian owns four top-five finishes in the last five majors. The lone exception in that group of results was a 12th-place mark at The Chevron Championship.
Lee has two wins on the LPGA Tour this season, including her first-place finish at the U.S. Women's Open.
Korda leads the American contingent in France. That group of players is just hoping for multiple spots in the top 10. Only one American landed in the top 10 at the Evian in 2021.
The 23-year-old has not finished higher than 19th at the Evian, but she has been consistent in majors with eight top-30 finishes and four top-10 finishes since the start of the 2020 season.
Korda and Chevron Championship winner Kupcho are the best American hopefuls to end the Evian victory drought that dates back to Angela Stanford in 2018.
The future of women's golf could also arrive at the Evian in the form of 19-year-old Thai golfer Atthaya Thitikul.
Thitikul placed fifth at the Evian last season, and she followed that up with a fourth-place mark at the Women's PGA Championship. She made the cut in each of her last five major starts.
A surprise winner could emerge from the field since there have been five first-time major winners since the start of the 2021 season, but there is a good chance at least one of Lee, Thitkul, Korda and Kupcho will be contending for the lead on Sunday.
