Chelsea Transfer Rumours: Andre Villas-Boas Does What's Needed in Hulk Buy
Andre Villas-Boas is doing what he needs to in order to stamp out the fires before they grow and burn all of Stamford Bridge to the ground.
Chelsea find themselves in a very precarious circumstance. The Blue are usually leading the charge at the end of December, but find they have a great deal of catch-up to do in January.
That will pose problematic with Didier Drogba leaving to the Africa Cup of Nations and Fernando Torres being, well, Fernando Torres. The think tank of the front office has a solution.

The Daily Mail reported Chelsea would like to Hulk-smash the transfer record with an £84 million move for Porto striker Hulk. That is a hefty sum for any player, but shows how dire things have become at Stamford Bridge.
The report quotes the striker's agent, Theodoro Fonseca, who believes a deal is possible:
"Hulk would wholeheartedly agree to work with Andre at Porto or Chelsea, or at any other team because he really likes the way he coaches. Andre knows Hulk very well, and they have a good relationship. Hulk at Chelsea? Anything is possible. His buyout clause is 100m (euros), so his future depends on an agreement between the clubs.
He feels good in Porto because he is treated well, but there are clubs interested in France, Brazil...and everything will depend on his desire.
"
As the report notes, Nicolas Anelka and Salomon Kalou are both on their way out, making them tenuous answers to Chelsea's need for talent up front.
The hope has always been that Fernando Torres would again find the form that made him one of the most feared forwards in the world.
Even adding fellow countryman Juan Mata to the pitch has gone fruitless. Villas-Boas is going to need a Chelsea rebuild if they are going to keep the momentum and climb the table in England.
Hulk would love to play under the Chelsea boss once again, and the Blues would no doubt love to have him up front. They would once again have the depth in attack needed for one final push.
