UFC 141 Results: Brock Lesnar Retires Following TKO Loss, 5 Jobs He Can Do Now

Justin TateDec 31, 2011

UFC 141 featured Brock Lesnar in what would turn out to be his final MMA fight. After Alistair Overeem gave Lesnar his second first-round TKO loss in a row, Lesnar announced his retirement.

“This is the last time you’ll see me in the Octagon. I want to thank everyone. Brock Lesnar is officially retired,” Lesnar said after the fight. So what does this mean for Lesnar?

Glad you asked. This means it's time to find another career. Lesnar has the personality, education and athleticism to do plenty of fun and interesting jobs.

Here's a look at five of those possibilities.

Coach or Trainer

1 of 6

Brock Lesnar helped train Tony Ferguson to win The Ultimate Fighter 13 last year. If Lesnar can lead Ferguson to several knockout victories against relatively talented fighters, who else could he train?

Many former fighters have turned their professional experience into a gold mine of information for the hottest young bucks to soak in and use to create their own major legacies.

After the thrilling and interesting mixed martial arts career Lesnar has had, who wouldn't want to be trained by Lesnar?

And with great demand comes a hefty price tag, so Lesnar would stay highly paid.

Fitness Guru

2 of 6

Brock Lesnar doesn't need to fight—he's given his fans at least a decade's worth of memories in both the WWE and UFC.

Lesnar is fit, buff and a lot healthier than the majority of America. Why not sell that half-a-fitness video?

A video featuring Lesnar proclaiming a simple method to get sculpted abs and muscles "LIKE BROCK LESNAR!!!" would sell a bah-jillion DVDs, Blu-rays and even audio books.

The Lesnar brand would do quite well in the world of fitness.

Celebrity Endorsements

Brock Lesnar has already signed numerous endorsement deals with many companies, from Everlast equipment to Dymatize Nutrition Team.

As a retired fighter, Lesnar now has even more time to film commercials and participate in photo shoots for whoever needs his image and services.

Return to the WWE

4 of 6

Brock Lesnar had a great career in the WWE wrestling against the likes of the Rock, Kurt Angle, Edge, the Undertaker and the Big Show. Lesnar returning to the WWE would achieve a highly warm reception.

Lesnar became very popular and gave wrestling fans many memorable moments. Over the past three years, he has suffered from a nearly fatal intestinal disorder. With that in mind, he likely won't wrestle.

Lesnar can still work the microphone and plenty hype for the promotion however.

He could even serve a stint as a general manager, special guest referee or host, like past retired wrestlers such as Stone Cold Steve Austin.

MMA Commentator

5 of 6

Brock Lesnar became a commentator for UFC's biggest event to date with the promotion's network debut on FOX television.

Lesnar did as well as most athlete commentators are expected to do. Athletes aren't expected to do much, but can get better.

The longer Lesnar is behind the mic, the better his skills and insightful expert analysis becomes. Lesnar's name and personality will attract fans to any event he commentates, regardless of his skills.

So if Lesnar wants to continue earning a steady paycheck from the sport, this is definitely a route to consider.

Thanks for the Memories Lesnar

Brock Lesnar is retiring. Athletes often throw around the word "retire" with reckless abandon. Just look at NBA legend Michael Jordan or boxing legend Muhammad Ali. They retired many times.

Even if Lesnar does actually retire and never enters UFC's Octagon again, he has done enough to bury his image into the hearts and minds of MMA and wrestling fans forever.

So here's goodbye Lesnar and thanks for the memories. The fans promise you won't be forgotten.
