Tom Brady Reflects on Breaking Brees' Record: 'I've Just Been Blessed for 22 Years'
After setting the NFL record for most career passing yards Sunday night, Tampa Bay Buccaneers star Tom Brady praised those around him:
"Nothing in this sport can be accomplished without incredible teammates and coaches," Brady said. "I've just been blessed for 22 years to be with some amazing people. A quarterback can't do anything if the guys don't catch the ball and guys did a great job catching for me the last 22 years."

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
It was a memorable night for Brady, who helped the Buccaneers earn a 19-17 win over the New England Patriots, where he spent the first 20 years of his career. Along the way, he passed Drew Brees for the most passing yards ever:
"It's an amazing statistic in that so many people get to share it with me," Brady said.
Brady entered the day needing just 68 yards to pass Brees, who retired this past offseason with 80,358 career yards. Brady finished the day with 269 yards and now has 80,560 over his 22 years in the NFL.
The 44-year-old also already has the all-time record for the most passing touchdowns with 591.
It just adds to the resume of a player who has seven Super Bowl titles, four MVP awards and 14 Pro Bowl selections.
Perhaps most impressively, Brady has shown no signs of slowing down. He leads the NFL with 1,356 passing yards with an average of 339 per game that would rank as the best in his career.
If he keeps it up, he'll finish with a yardage total that will be impossible to catch.
