
Phillies' J.T. Realmuto to Undergo Surgery on Right Knee Injury, Miss 'About' 1 Month
Philadelphia Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto was placed on the injured list Tuesday with right knee pain and will undergo surgery on Wednesday.
Phillies president Dave Dombrowski told NBC Sports Philadelphia that Realmuto is expected to miss "about a month" after undergoing surgery.

The 33-year-old has been fairly durable throughout his career, appearing in at least 125 games in every season bar the shortened 2020 one since the 2015 campaign. He played 135 games in 2023.
When healthy, Realmuto is one of the best overall catchers in the league.
His resume includes three All-Star selections, three Silver Sluggers and two Gold Gloves. He is slashing .261/.309/.411 with seven home runs and 20 RBI in 51 games this season to help the Phillies to a 45-20 record, which is the best record in the National League.
While Philadelphia will miss Realmuto's presence in the lineup, Garrett Stubbs has the tools to fill in capably behind the plate in his absence.
