Logan Paul Says Mayweather Fight Isn't About Money: 'Once-in-a-Lifetime Opportunity'
Logan Paul is likely going to get embarrassed Sunday night.
The YouTuber is headed into a boxing ring for only his second-ever sanctioned fight, set to take on Floyd Mayweather Jr., the greatest fighter of his generation and one of the best pound-for-pound boxers ever, in a bout many view as a money grab from both parties.
Paul sees it differently.

"I didn’t take this fight for the money. I took it because it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity," Paul told Helena de Bertodano of the Sunday Times.
Paul's purse will depend on the pay-per-view buys, but he told TMZ Sports he could make up to $20 million. Mayweather is expected to earn up to $100 million to come out of retirement for the fight.
The undefeated Mayweather told Complex's Adam Caparell he doesn't plan on knocking Paul out in the first round because "we want to give the people entertainment." Paul has called the fight a "circus" and a "finesse" on his part but said he plans on taking it seriously when he's in the ring.
“You are witnessing the greatest finesse job in history,” Paul told Brian Campbell of CBS Sports. “Why is Floyd Mayweather getting in the ring with me? He has everything to lose. You got finessed. You got finessed, Floyd. Imagine I beat him for one second. I have to imagine taking this fight would be a regret.”
Paul certainly is right; a loss for Mayweather would be highly embarrassing. Of course, with no judges, the only way this fight actually ends with a victor is a stoppage—something Mayweather doesn't seem enthusiastic to pull off and something that would be nearly impossible for Paul.
