Goalie masks have really evolved over the years, and players have gotten so creative with their designs.

A lot of thought is put into making these masks, and goalies will spend a lot of money to get the design of their dreams.

A goalie's mask is very important to him, which makes the designs on these masks so detailed and personal.

Kelly Hrudey

Former Los Angeles Kings goalie Kelly Hrudey was one of the few goalies to wear a bandana under his helmet, but the mask he has here is pretty cool.

Murray Bannerman

Murray Bannerman took creativity to a new level in the 1980s with the Chicago Blackhawks. This is certainly an interesting design.

Gary Simmons

The California Golden Seals had awful jerseys in their brief time in the NHL, but Gary Simmons really took his mask seriously.

The Cleveland Barons were not a good hockey team, but Gilles Meloche's mask certainly was good. This is a very cool design.

I don't even know what to say. Is this the coolest mask ever? I think so. Gilles Gratton of the New York Rangers really took goalie mask design to an art form.

Dan Bouchard made a perfect mask for someone who plays for the Calgary Flames. One of the best designs of 1970s.

The Philadelphia Flyers logo is pretty unique, and it allows goalies to really get creative with their masks. Wayne Stephenson definitely created a cool mask with his design.

Ken Dryden was one of the best goalies ever, and this Montreal Canadiens mask is one of the coolest ever.

Felix Potvin was a great goalie for the Toronto Maple Leafs, and this mask he used with the team is really cool. Great use of the iconic blue and white Maple Leafs colors.
