Gibbs will be joined by Jon Fromi for the first of what will be a weekly breakdown of all things Blackhawks. We will be breaking down the Blackhawks' preseason and preview the season ahead.

How have the Hawks looked this preseason, and are they ready to hoist Lord Stanley’s Cup again?

Who has the edge in the backup goalie battle: Emry or Salak? How good can Corey Crawford be, and is he ready to carry the load from start to finish this year?

Coach Q is playing with the idea of Patrick Kane at center; could he be the answer to center the second line?

Which former Hawk will be missed the most, and which newcomer may make the biggest impact?

Are any of the young guys (Ben Smith, Kruger, Frolik and Stalberg) ready to take that next step?

With just a week before the puck drops for real in the season opener, how is the roster shaping up and who is in danger of not making it through the final round of cuts.

All this and whatever else we can fit into 60 minutes of jam-packed Hawks talk.

Jon is a featured columnist for the Blackhawks on as well as adding game recaps on for the upcoming season.

Gibbs has been blogging about all the Chicago teams for years and you can find all his work on the show’s home and make sure to follow him on Twitter @dachicagofan for all his rants off the air.
