FC Barcelona: Silvio Berlusconi Celebrates Birthday with FC Barcelona Comments

AC Milan owner and Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi celebrated his 75th birthday today by reaffirming the superiority of his club over FC Barcelona.

Berlusconi is confident that Milan can triumph in every international football competition this season.

Berlusconi also expressed confidence that AC Milan will defeat FC Barcelona to win the UEFA Champions League. Through his comments made to Sky Sport Italia, it is clear that Berlusconi believes that fate is on the side of his team.

I think Berlusconi is posturing as usual and that he should not underestimate FC Barcelona.

Let's take a look at the Group H UEFA Champions League table.

FC Barcelona and AC Milan are both in Group H of the 2011-2012 UEFA Champions League. FC Barcelona started the UEFA Champions League with a 2-2 draw against AC Milan.

FC Barcelona defeated FC BATE Borisov in Belarus last night, scoring five unanswered goals. The next match for Barcelona will be against Plzen, before a second match against AC Milan and FC BATE.

AC Milan, once again, started their UEFA Champions League season with a draw against FC Barcelona. AC Milan then defeated Plzen in their second match.

AC Milan is to face FC BATE Borisov and Barca before facing Plzen for a second time. The Group H UEFA Champions League standings are as follows.

AC Milan is in first place with four points. FC Barcelona follow in second place with four points. FC BATE is in third place with one point and Plzen is in fourth place with one point.

FC Barcelona and AC Milan will no doubt advance from Group H in the UEFA Champions League. I will not express an opinion since there are no absolutes in sports—in European football, in particular.
