The lightest most powerful skate that reebok currently makes is the RBK 11.  The RBK 11 features "The Pump" which eliminates natural gaps around the ankle giving you a customized fit every time.

The RBK 11 also features skatelock which allows you to isolate lacing zones by tightening the top tree eyelets.  Some reviews complain that the pump breaks fast which could be a problem in the near future.

#9 CCM U+12

The CCM U+12 is a quality skate by CCM and it looks great.  After reading a great deal of reviews the only problem that I saw with these skates was protection on the sides.  Other then that these skates are a great buy.

#8 Easton SE16

Easton is one of the top hockey companies out there and they care about the type of products that they put on the market.

The Easton SE16 is the type of product that make this company great.  These skates are meant to keep moisture out to keep comfort levels to the max.

Bauer is one of the biggest names in hockey they are arguably the premier hockey companies in the world if not at the top of them all.

The Bauer One100's is a great skate made by an incredible company it's lightweight design makes this a great skate for maneuverability.  Some people complain about the skates being a little stiff but they offer quality protection.

The newest product coming out of CCM is the CCM U+Crazy Light.  After reading many reviews a reoccuring theme about these skates is that they feel like there is nothing there.

They are lightweight and they are a great fit coming out of the box for all foot shapes and sizes.  The protected tongue is also a great addition to these skates because of it's flexibility and protection.

#4 Easton S17

The Easton S17 is one of the lightest skates on the market ultimate lightweight performance meets pro fit at under 700 grams.  After many reviews these skates have a very short break in time.

It offers great protection, and improved durability.  The problem that was common among these skates was weak stitching and rivets were rusting off.  But overall great skates and a great look.

#3 Bauer Total One

At the time the Bauer TotalOne came out it is the lightest weight, most advanced skate in Bauer's 82 year history.  The TotalOne's offer a customizable tongue for three levels of stiffness and offers a lot of comfort which is ideal for games.

Its revolutionary runner design reduces weight of the runner by 27 percent allowing for more speed.  The only problem comes in weak stitching and a little bit longer on break in time but overall a great skate by Bauer.

One of the fastest skates to date the Bauer X60's are designed for speed.  This skate is designed for speed and explosive turns.  Offers ankle and heel padding and built from the outside in the X60 offers stability like never before.

The X60's also require minimum break in periods for better comfort.  Great skate and a sweet look.  These are some of the most popular skates on the ice right now.

#1 Bauer APX

The newest addition to the Bauer line is the Bauer APX which takes the top of the list.  Although you will be paying top dollar for these babies you are going to get maximum production.  With a quick break in period and added protection, comfort, and durability make these skates some of the best on the market.

The APX is very responsive and the revolutionary runner design makes these skates very fast and reduces the weight of the runner by 27 percent.  This is a whole lot of skate for players playing at a high level.

Thank you Bauer for continuing to make great skates.
