The countdown continues here with the middle logos. These are the 20-11 best logos in the league, the average logos you might say. These are based on relevance, colors, overall likability and their staying power.

These are based off the opinions of many hockey fans and myself alike, without further ado, the next ten in the list.

20. Washington Capitals

It's a shame to rank these guys so low, but in all honesty, they don't really have a logo, just an above average wordmark.

However, it's the best wordmark there is, although the only other competition is the Ducks' putrid logo, so I suppose this should be considered a good ranking for the Caps.

19. Colorado Avalanche

The Avalanche have a good logo, and it hasn't changed once throughout their history. This is where the list turns into 19 good logos, as the rest on this list are superb and get the job done.

Unfortunately for the Avs, the opinion seems to say they're the worst of these good logos.

18. Phoenix Coyotes

The Phoenix Coyotes have a great logo. Too many people will look at the overall jersey and think the logo is lame, or shouldn't be this high on the list, but it's great.

The reason is because it does its job. It's a coyote, plain and simple. It's not too complicated, and it doesn't try to include the city initials in any cheesy way.

17. Columbus Blue Jackets

The Columbus Blue Jackets have a great, underrated logo. They used the RBK Edge change to reinvent themselves with a "new" front logo, and it's great. Patriotic, simple, and interesting. Great logo

16. Minnesota Wild

The Minnesota Wild have a really freaking cool logo. It took me about six years to figure out it was a bear. Mind-blowing. Awesome logo, perhaps a bit too colorful.

15. Tampa Bay Lightning

I used the logo they use now for this list, although the new one would probably be in about the same place. Good logo, gets the point across, and perfectly represents the team and the city. Great job, Bolts.

14. Pittsburgh Penguins

The Penguins have a timeless logo. Crosby and Malkin brought it back to life and back into the spotlight. Nothing too much to say about this one, a Penguin with skates. That's about it.

13. Carolina Hurricanes

The Hurricanes have an awesome logo. It's been called a toilet bowl flushing and is constantly made fun of for that, but honestly, it's dead on. The logo is essentially looking down at the eye of a hurricane, and it's great

The Hurricanes also have a great third jersey logo, making them one of the better dressed teams in the league.

12. New York Islanders

The New York Islanders have a timeless logo. While it may not be the most original, it gets by just fine on about every other possible aspect.

11. Calgary Flames

Who's the last entry before the top ten?

The Calgary Flames, owners of a great logo, even better than the Atlanta Flames days.

Check back tomorrow for the Top 10 logos in the NHL
