Tim GrovesJan 7, 2011

When it rains it pours.

After Frankie Edgar vs. Gray Maynard III and Frank Mir vs. Roy Nelson leaked earlier today, it seems as if we have the final piece of the puzzle for UFC 130.

According to MMAJunkie.com light heavyweights Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Thiago Silva will due battle at the May 28th event.

Jackson (31-8) is coming off of a split decision victory over Lyoto Machida, that not even he thought he won.  Many pundits agreed that Jackson clearly suffered more damage but lost the fight due to taking the first and second rounds on two out of the three judges' scorecards.

Jackson hopes to be fighting for a title shot once the planned Shogun Rua/Rashad Evans bout takes place.

Meanwhile, Thiago Silva (15-2) looks to build momentum following his absolute domination of Brandon Vera at UFC 125.  Silva was hesitant to stand with the now unemployed Vera, but looked stellar on the ground.

His controlling Jiu Jitsu and ground strikes let him walk away with a clear cut decision victory.  Silva would like to one day avenge his two losses to Evans or Machida, and this fight sets him up nicely to do just that.

The main card of UFC 130 looks complete for now.  The following bouts are rumored:

Frankie Edgar vs. Gray Maynard III

Rampage Jackson vs. Thiago Silva

Frank Mir vs. Roy Nelson

Thiago Alves vs. Rick Story

Travis Browne vs. Stefan Struve
