The Florida Panthers are among the teams interested, it has basically been confirmed by their GM Dale Tallon. In an interview with NHL.com regarding Niemi he said "Do I have interest in him? We have any player with his history, that is a champion. We're open for business 24-7," said Tallon. It is believed the Capitals and Sharks are also interested.

Jason Botchford of the Vancouver Province reports that Willie Mitchell passed all four of his physicals symptom free. Botchford also reports that he is expected to sign sometime next week.

The four teams he did physicals for are the Vancouver Canucks, San Jose Sharks, LA Kings, and Washington Capitals.

In an interview with the Canadian press Stars, GM Joe Nieuwendyk said he is confident that he can get RFA James Neal re-signed soon.

The Coyotes, Islanders, and Penguins continue to show interest in Lee Stempniak. My best bet is that he will return to Phoenix on a one or two year deal.

Scott Norton of Norton Sports agency reports via twitter that Bill Sweatt will make his playing decision today "After much talking, look forward to a decision on client Bill Sweatt's future by the end of today (Thursday)."

The Maple Leafs are still looking for a few bottom-six forwards—Raffi Torres and Adam Mair's name continue to pop up—however, they would likely only sign one of them.

The Vancouver Canucks continue to shop Kevin Bieksa and the Kings, Sharks, and Bruins are among the teams interested in his services.

This concludes today's edition of NHL Buzz, enjoy.
