Several sources have contacted me via email and text message that the Dallas Stars are trying to move Mike Ribeiro. I know the Dallas Stars are interested in Tomas Kaberle.

This is just PURE speculation but perhaps the Stars could move Ribeiro and a couple of prospects/picks for Tomas Kaberle. That way the Maple Leafs get a top six forward, some prospects/picks for the system, and the Stars clear cap space and get a legitimate defenseman.

The Anaheim Ducks are not done making moves, they would like to bring in another forward (Paul Kariya) and one or two more defenseman. Kevin Bieksa, Ruslan Salei, and Willie Mitchell are possible targets.

Speaking of Willie Mitchell, the Canadiens are among the teams interested. I am told they also like Brendan Witt. I think the Canadiens would be a great fit for both.

The San Jose Mercury is reporting that the San Jose Sharks could be interested in Antti Niemi. He would be a great fit in San Jose, as they are often known to choke in the playoffs and Niemi would bring a Stanley Cup ring into the locker room.

I have no news to report on Tomas Kaberle, just noting that his deadline is just six days away. I have said this several times, and I will say it again, I still think he will be traded. *UPDATE* According to Scott Burnside of ESPN the number of teams interested in Kaberle have hit double-digits.

Last and not least some NHL news, the Kovalchuk decision will be made, stay tuned for that as it could be interesting.

This concludes today's edition of NHL Buzz, enjoy.
