PHILADELPHIA - JUNE 09: Antti Niemi #31 of the Chicago Blackhawks makes a save against the Philadelphia Flyers in Game Six of the 2010 NHL Stanley Cup Final at the Wachovia Center on June 9, 2010 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. (Photo by Al Bello/Getty Images)

Marty Turco just signed a one-year deal with the Chicago Blackhawks, which means that Antti Niemi is now a UFA.

This is only a wild rumor I have heard, but the Maple Leafs may be interested. I know Brian Burke said earlier that he is happy with his goaltending situation.

Now, with Niemi a free agent, he could become a target. I have also heard that the Sharks, Oilers, and Capitals are interested.

As of right now, it looks like Marc Savard will stay in Boston. They would love to dump the salary. However, with teams offering very little and the fact that he is a big part of the Bruins offense, it makes little sense for them to get rid of him.

The Tampa Bay Lightning are among the teams interested in Tomas Kaberle. However, the Lightning do not want to part ways with any of their top six forwards. The Kings, Ducks, Sharks, and Bruins remain interested.

Kevin Bieksa is also available and is drawing interest from pretty much the same teams as Kaberle.

The Vancouver Canucks are among the many teams interested in Arron Asham, but it is Asham's goal to stay in Philly and he would take a pay cut to do so.

The Lightning are looking to add depth to their bottom six forwards, and Arron Asham is their main target right now.

This concludes today's edition of NHL Buzz, enjoy.
