Speculation is that Marty Turco could be the next goaltender for the San Jose Sharks.

The Detroit Red Wings have re-signed Nicklas Lidstrom to a one year deal that will earn him between 6-7.5 million dollars.

The Columbus Blue Jackets could trade their first round pick for a NHL established player, likely a defenseman a la Tomas Kaberle as they are expected to make the playoffs next year.

Ducks GM Bob Murray, and defenseman James Wisniewski, are not close to signing a contract extension.

The Calgary Flames have turned there attention to trying to re-sign restricted free agent Ian White.

This concludes today's edition of NHL Buzz, the next article I write will be an interview with Blue Jackets Insider Eric Smith who is covers the Blue Jackets for FSN Ohio and is a beat writer for Hockeybuzz.
