How To Re-Sign Chris Bosh: Raptors Edition
Chris Bosh is a free agent this off-season. Bet you didn't know that. Most people think that he's as good as gone from the Raptors. Now, this may just be my point as a Raptors fan, but I think that the Raptors have as good a chance at signing Bosh than anybody.
Bosh stated in a news conference after the season was over that he didn't care about big markets, money, or anything as much as winning. He also said that he wants to be the number one guy for the team he's playing for.
So what does this mean for the Raptors? Do they just give up and start rebuilding? They can actually become a contender if General Manager Bryan Colangelo plays his cards right. The Raptors' core is pretty good, but Bosh needs some help. If Bosh wants a contender, why not give him one?

Embiid Calls Out Bridges 👀
Here are some things that need to happen in order to convice Bosh to stay in Toronto.
Trade Hedo Turkoglu
I know, they just got him and he might be better next year. But for the most part, Hedo damaged this team. Honestly, I think the reason that Jose Calderon struggled this year was mostly to do with Turkoglu. Turkoglu always wants the ball in his hands because he's a point forward. I understand that, but how can you have a point forward playing with such a great play-maker like Jose Calderon? They don't need a small forward who can jack up threes and make plays. They need a scorer. Hedo's contract isn't exactly great either.
Re-Sign Antoine Wright and Amir Johnson
Antoine Wright and Amir Johnson were a huge part of the Raptors' defense this year, and I know that's not saying much, but imagine if they weren't there. They would be the worst defensive team of the millennium. Wright and Johnson are good bench players, and they need to scoop them up. They provide a spark off the bench and can log good minutes.
Acquire Another All-Star Caliber Player
I know this is easier said than done, but the Raptors have to do something to get Bosh to stay. He clearly isn't happy with this team currently, and he says "we need someone who can create his own shot." They have the pieces to do it, along with a draft pick, now something just has to happen. It's not like it will be impossible, because there are many good players on the trading block, and Colangelo just needs to make a move. Some of those players could include: Monta Ellis, Chris Paul, Corey Maggette, Andre Iguodala, and Rudy Gay. Did I forget to mention the fact that there are tons of free agents that the Raptors could sign?
What most people don't realize about Chris Bosh is that he loves the city of Toronto, he loves the fans, but he loves winning more than anything. He doesn't really care about fame and big markets, he's a competitor. If he wants a contender, the Raptors should give him one. Now all we can do is hope, wait, and pray. Could Chris Bosh's last game as a Raptor have been him getting elbowed by Antwan Jamison? I sure hope not.
