Bobby Hebert and Who Dats Honor Buddy Diliberto with Dress Parade

There was a sportscaster, named Buddy "D".

Superbowl for the Saints, it never could be.

He'd ask the questions we were dying to know.

Usually bucking the status quo.

Always his love, sometimes a fan.

He embodied the soul of the average Saints fans.

Buddy did state, if the Saints ever made it,

A dress he would wear and down Bourbon he'd parade it.

Sean Payton took over almost a year to the day,

From when our beloved Buddy had passed away.

In 2006 we were almost there,

Talk went to what Buddy would wear.

Cajun Cannon, Bobby Hebert took Buddy's space

On Bourbon Street the Parade will take place.

It begins at the Dome then on to the Quarter,

And his dress is being designed by his daughter.

That’s right, Who Dat Nation! It will take place at high noon on Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010. Sure it is a bit off, but a bet is a bet. Bobby assumed Buddy D’s role and admitted he would don the dress in Buddy D’s memory and for the fans.

Is anyone really surprised?

Bobby & Buddy’s Brawds “Bunch of Men Dress March”, will second line from the Superdome to the French Quarter for a block party at Bourbon and Conti. The Oceana Grill will then host a special Sunday edition of WWL radio's SportsTalk live from 2-6pm with Bobby Hebert and Deke Bellavia.
