Buffalo Sabres' Young Talent Looks to Rejuvenate Playoff Hopes

The Buffalo Sabres looked to have a great starting round in the 2008 NHL Draft and they delivered, with excellent and talented players in defensemen Tyler Myers and forward Tyler Ennis.

Darcy Regier left Buffalo fans ecstatic and gave us something to look forward to in the future from both phenomenal talents.

Tyler Myers was selected 12th overall after trading their 13th pick and a 3rd round pick from 2009 in order to prevent Los Angeles from acquiring him. Myers currently plays for the Kelowna Rockets of the Western Hockey League and has proven to be a Zdeno Chara type defensemen.

If he bulks up a little bit, he may be able to live up to that potential, but it’s going to take some development.

Tyler Ennis was selected 26th overall and currently plays for the Medicine Hat Tigers of the WHL. He has shown nothing, but dramatic improvement in all three of the years he played as he went from 26 to 43 goals in one year.

He has plenty of hope in helping the in depth Buffalo offense.

This kid being an elite player in the future and could be apart of their run to the Stanley Cup in future years.

Tomorrow will be a new day and hopefully they bring the same intensity they did in today's round.

The Sabres have the 44th pick and I'm sure most fans are hoping Markstrom drops a little bit and falls into their arms.

It should be interesting day tomorrow and let’s hope for the best at the Sabres table.
