This just in! An NBA game actually captivated the fans for an entire 48 minutes.

Reporters are saying this is the first time a regular season NBA game has actually interested the fans and players.

ESPN's Robert Flores even went as far as saying that the game was, "as exciting as a high school or college basketball game."

There are even reports that almost all of the crowd stayed to watch the game until the end. The first time this has happened in Chicago since Michael Jordan's last game.

Lock-down defensive specialists like J.R Smith and Carmelo Anthony were in rare form on Tuesday night. They looked to be jogging hard well into the third quarter and possibly even in the fourth.

As Brad Miller let go of that desperation heave with less than 1 second to go, chills went down my spine. I could only think of prior great buzzer beaters. Images of Christian Laetner and Bryce Drew celebrating was all I could see as the ball went through the hoop.

Brad Miller had been cemented into history, or so we all thought.

The crowd was simply out of control. Riot control police was even being called up to stop the celebrating in the streets.

Then the unthinkable happened.

It was later found that the shot had left his hand after the buzzer sounded.

Brad Miller will no longer get his bronze statue, and many Bulls' fans have still not gotten any sleep.

After seeing players like Smith jog that hard during a game it really is quite amazing that they can do this all season long.

Nuggets' players like Smith and Anthony just seemed inspired to jog it out the whole game.

If this is just a taste of what is coming in the NBA season, then people better start comparing it to something better than high school ball. Maybe college?
